Fixchy ("we", "our", or "us") operates a mobile marketplace application
connecting drivers with auto parts and service businesses across Iraq.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your
information when you use our app.
2. Information We Collect
Account Information
- Full name
- Email address
- Password (encrypted, never stored in plain text)
- User role (driver or business)
Location Data
- GPS coordinates while the app is in use
- Last known location (stored to improve nearby search results)
- We collect location only while the app is open (foreground only)
Vehicle Information
- Vehicle make, model, and year (user-provided)
- Used to personalise part and service search results
Messages
- Chat messages between drivers and business sellers
- AI assistant conversation history
- Messages are stored to provide chat history
Usage Data
- Market search queries
- Items and services viewed
- App interaction events (for improving search ranking)
Device Information
- Device type and operating system
- Push notification token (for order and message alerts)
3. How We Use Your Information

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

- Supabase — database and authentication infrastructure
- Google Firebase — push notification delivery
- Google Gemini AI — AI assistant responses (messages are processed but not stored by Google beyond the request)
5. Data Retention
- Account data: retained while your account is active
- Chat messages: retained for 12 months then archived
- Location data: last known location only, updated each session
- You may request deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting support@fixchy.com
6. Children's Privacy
Fixchy is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect
data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us data,
contact us immediately.
7. Data Security
- All data is transmitted over HTTPS/TLS
- Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text
- Database access is restricted by row-level security policies
- Authentication tokens expire and are rotated automatically
8. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your account and data
- Withdraw consent for location access at any time (via device settings)
