Privacy Policy

1. Introduction
Fixchy ("we", "our", or "us") operates a mobile marketplace application
connecting drivers with auto parts and service businesses across Iraq.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your
information when you use our app.
2. Information We Collect
Account Information
- Full name
- Email address
- Password (encrypted, never stored in plain text)
- User role (driver or business)
- Phone number and, for business accounts, shop details you enter (name, address, opening hours)
Sign in with Google, Facebook or Apple
- If you choose to sign in with Google, Facebook or Apple, we receive your name, email address and a unique account identifier from that provider. We never receive your password for those services.
- With Sign in with Apple you can hide your email; we then receive an Apple private relay address instead. Apple shares your name only the first time you sign in.
- We use this data only to create and sign in to your Fixchy account. When you delete your account, we also revoke Fixchy's access to your Apple ID.
Location Data
- GPS coordinates while the app is in use
- Last known location (stored to improve nearby search results)
- We collect location only while the app is open (foreground only)
Vehicle Information
- Vehicle make, model, and year (user-provided)
- Used to personalise part and service search results
- Car records you choose to add (service, repair, inspection or accident notes, mileage, costs and photos). They are private to your account — photos are stored privately and shown only to you — and are deleted when you delete the car or your account
Business Customer Records (CRM)
- Businesses may store their own customers' names and phone numbers (and optional car, plate, notes, transactions and payments) in Fixchy CRM. This data is private to that business and is deleted with the business account
Messages
- Chat messages between drivers and business sellers, including photos and shared listings sent in a chat
- AI assistant conversation history
- Messages are stored to provide chat history and are visible only to the people in the conversation
- Fixchy staff do not read your chats. Moderators can review a conversation only after one of its participants reports the other person or a message in it, and then only that reported conversation, to investigate the report
Photos and Images
- Photos you choose to upload: listing photos for parts and services, business logo and cover photo, photos sent in chat, and photos you attach to AI assistant questions
- We access your camera or photo library only when you choose to take or pick a photo
- Listing photos and business logos/covers are public to other Fixchy users; chat photos are visible only to the people in that conversation
- Photos are stored with our infrastructure provider (Supabase). All photos you uploaded are deleted when you delete your account
Usage Data
- Market search queries
- Items and services viewed
- App interaction events (for improving search ranking)
Device Information
- Device type and operating system
- Push notification token (for order and message alerts)
3. How We Use Your Information

4. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
We share data only with:
- Supabase — database and authentication infrastructure
- Google Firebase — push notification delivery
- Google Gemini AI — AI assistant responses (messages and any attached photo are processed but not stored by Google beyond the request)
- Google, Facebook (Meta) and Apple — only if you choose to sign in with them, to verify your identity
5. Data Retention
- Account data: retained while your account is active
- Chat messages: retained for 12 months then archived
- Location data: last known location only, updated each session
- You can delete your account at any time in the app: Settings → Delete account. Deletion is immediate and permanent: your profile, listings, chats and uploaded photos are removed, and if you used Sign in with Apple, Fixchy's access to your Apple ID is revoked. You can also request deletion by contacting support@fixchy.com
6. Children's Privacy
Fixchy is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect
data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us data,
contact us immediately.
7. Data Security
- All data is transmitted over HTTPS/TLS
- Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text
- Database access is restricted by row-level security policies
- Authentication tokens expire and are rotated automatically
8. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your account and data
- Withdraw consent for location access at any time (via device settings)

9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy. We will notify users of significant changes via
the app or email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
